Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute commonly known as TBGRI has transferred the technology know how for anti psoriatic, anti dandruff, ani fungal formulations to JHAWAR CHEMICALS PRIVATE LIMITED for their commercial production and marketing.

  * An autonomous scientific research organization under the Government of Kerala,established in 1979;the main objective being conservation and sustainable utilisation of plant genetic resources in the tropics.

* Has been the co-ordinating centre for the All India Co-ordinated research product on Ethnobiology(AICRPE)

* Has been the first organization in the country to establish a field gene bank,seed bank,mericlone bank and cryo bank for medicinal and aromatic plants.

* Has the distinction of being the first Ethno Medicine division in the country.Throught the research and development efforts of the ethno Medecine division ,TBGRI has successfully developed several scientifically validated herbal drugs and formulations conforming to guide lines laid down by WHO.

* TBGRI has developed anti-psoriatic,and anti-dandruff formulations from the extracts of medicinal plants.Keeping in tune with its philosophy of transferring the fruits of research to the welfare of the common man,TBGRI has transferred the technological know-how for these herbal formulations to JCPL for their commercial production and marketing.
